Payments and receipts

Pay only through dealership-confirmed channels and obtain a receipt identifying the customer, booking and amount. Verify bank details directly with the showroom before transferring money.

The dealership must publish the permitted payment channels and cash rules. If a family member, business or lender pays, identify the payer and confirm the refund destination before payment.

One cancellation and refund table

The same approved table must be used here and in vehicle purchase confirmation. It must show booking type, advance paid, cancellation charge, refund amount and refund timeframe.

No cancellation charge, forfeiture or refund deadline is approved in this review template. Do not use a blanket retention of the entire advance or conflicting refundable and deductible amounts.

Collection after readiness notice

Collection timing must run from a recorded written readiness notice. The approved policy must state notice, extensions, accepted reasons and any applicable charge consistently with the cancellation table.

Identification and customer rights

Request identity and tax information only for a documented requirement. Offer accepted alternative identity documents where permitted; do not require Aadhaar for a website enquiry. Mask identifiers on customer-facing copies.

The final wording must preserve applicable customer rights and describe the dealership's complaint and escalation route.
